With the latest update, the Netflix video contents can be streamed in HDR in Sony Xperia XZ Premium’s 4K resolution Display.

Sony released Xperia XZ Premium devices in February, the flagship device is the world’s first mobile phone to feature with SD 835 processor commercially. Not only the processor, but also XZ premium is the first devices that supports 4K display with HDR support.

Netflix just announced that the Sony’s flagship hablet will be the next device to have Netflix HDR playback enabled. Apart from the Xperia XZ Premium, the only smartphone that can play Netflix in HDR is the LG G6, which supports Dolby Vision. The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus may also come with HDR support, although the streaming giant hasn’t confirmed it yet.

The Xperia XZ Premium offers 5.5″ 4K Triluminos display with HDR10 support. With Netflix HDR support, you should now enjoy the full advantage of the screen while watching HDR content. Upgrade to the latest firmware on your device, the latest version of the Netflix app, a 4 Screen premium Netflix subscription, and a stable Internet connection to enjoy the HDR content from Netflix.
