Samsung has announced the New Galaxy A8 and A8+ couple of days back and said that the phone will be available for purchase early January 2018. Samsung confirmed that the Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ is going to be launched on January 6 in Vietnam. Galaxy A8 will cost $485 and A8+ will cost $595.

5.6-inch FHD+ resolution (2220 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio
It features a 16MP rear camera with f/1.7 aperture and 16MP + 8MP selfie camera with f/1.9 aperture on both the sensors

Powered by an octa-core chip with two cores clocked at 2.2GHz and six cores clocked at 1.6GHz

It comes with 4GB RAM and 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, can be further expanded via micro SD card
Phone keeps the lights on with the help of 3000mAh battery and it will be charged by USB Type-C port (Supports Fast charging)
Phone runs on Android Nougat 7.1.1 out of the box

Both Galaxy A8(2018) and A8 Plus (2018) will be available in four colours — black, orchid grey, gold and blue. Both A8 and A8 Plus comes with Always On Display, support for Samsung Pay, NFC, support Samsung Gear VR headset. Fingerprint is placed below the rear camera and both the phones are IP68 water and dust resistance certified. other features include MST for payments, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth v 5.0 (LE up to 2Mbps), ANT+. Sensors include Accelerometer, Barometer, Fingerprint, Gyro, Geomagnetic sensor, Hall sensor, Proximity sensor and RGB Light sensor.
