Oppo has launched Oppo A75 and A75s couple of hours back in Taiwan. Now Oppo announced another midrange smartphone in China, Oppo A83. Phone is available for Pre-order and sales starting from December 29 in China (no updates for other markets). It carries a price tag of CNY 1,399(around $215). Phone comes with a new facial recognition technology like Oppo A75 and A75s, Oppo claims that it can unlock the phone within 0.18 seconds using 128 unique feature points on the user’s face.
Oppo A83 sports a 5.7-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) LCD display and an 18:9 aspect ratio
Phone is powered by a 2.5GHz octa-core processor
It comes with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage which can be further expanded by MicroSD card
Phone runs on Color OS 3.2 based on Android 7.1 Nougat
A83 comes with 13MP rear camera and 8MP sensor for selfies
Phone keeps the lights on with a 3090mAh battery
Dimensions of the Oppo A83 are 150.5×73.1×7.7mm and weight is 143 grams.
Other features include Dual Sim support, 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 /b/g/n, GPS, Micro-USB, Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Wi-Fi Direct. Sensors include proximity sensor, accelerometer, and compass. Oppo A83 will be available in Champagne and Black colour variants in China.
