Google will be rolling out Android security patch every month, Pixel and Nexus devices will receive it first. March Android Security patch is now available for Google Pixel and Nexus devices. The update brings bug fixes and security updates for Pixel and Nexus devices.
There are 16 issues resolved in the March security patch dated 2018-03-01 and 21 in the 2018-03-05 one. Vulnerabilities range from high to critical, whereas most of the fixes are related to Media framework and possibly permitting a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code through a “crafted file”. The dedicated bulletin for Google’s phones and tablets lists 43 security fixes and 3 functional updates.
After the update Pixel and Pixel 2 XL gets faster screen wakeup when unlocking with Fingerprint, improved audio performance while recording Video and improved crash reporting.
